2018 Angullong Fossil Hill Rosato

The Angullong ‘Fossil Hill’ Rosato is 100 per cent Sangiovese made from the original ‘Grosso’ clone plantings in the vineyard. We have named it Rosato as a nod to its Italian varietal heritage. It is a modern rosé with an enticing, lively, crisp palate. The flavours are of summer berries, which linger delightfully with a long dry, savoury finish. Serve it cool, but not too cold, with a platter of antipasti.

Best in Tasting “… good fruit character on the nose: cranberry and red apple are present along with lots of strawberry and cheery. A fresh bright aroma. Nicely balanced, medium intensity palate that is light, delicate, lush and juicy. Good length…” Wine & Viticulture Journal, Winter 2019
