2018 Angullong Pinot Grigio

90 POINTS, Huon Hooke.   //  With cooler than average temperatures through spring and early summer, vine growth and bunch development were delayed. Harvest was later, working out well for the aromatic white varieties as they ripened consistently during autumn, which is characteristic of the Orange region. The resulting Angullong Pinot Grigio is a vibrant and crisp wine with cool climate varietal flavours of pear, honey and melon with linear acidity and lovely balance. It is a wine for all occasions.

WINEMAKING: The Pinot Grigio grapes were fermented in stainless steel fermenters at cool temperatures to retain the fresh varietal fruit aromas and flavours.
COLOUR: Very pale straw with an attractive rose gold hue.
AROMA: Lifted varietal floral aromas of fresh cut pear, honeysuckle and white blossom.
PALATE: Vibrant and crisp with cool climate varietal flavours of pear, honey and melon with linear acidity and lovely balance. The finish is long and refreshing.
WINE ANALYSIS: Alc/vol: 13.0%
ADDITIVES: Made using traditional methods. Some traces of egg products may remain. Preservative 220 added.
PEAK DRINKING: Enjoy in it’s youth and over the next few years.
