We were thrilled to be awarded theTrophy for the Best Shiraz of ShowandBest Red Wine of Showat the recent 2024 Orange Wine Show.

With a record number of entries, the Shiraz class was one of the region's strongest.

Each year the wines of Orange are tasted and accessed by a board of expert wine judges. This year, guided by Show Chair Adam Walls, the judges comprised industry stalward Matt Dunne, Wine Companion's Shanteh Wale and winemakers and experts.

With two gold medals in the Shiraz class, these wines then moved up to compete for the Trophy for Best Shiraz. Our 2022 Angullong 'Crossing Reserve' Shiraz took the chocolates.

It was then moved up to compete for Red Wine of the Show. At the pointy end of the show, this sees all of the red wine Trophy winners tasted again to determine the Red Wine of Show, and our Crossing Reserve again won. The last trial was for Best Wine of Show, and we were pipped by the Swinging Bridge Reserve Chardonnay (a lovely wine and deserving winner).

All of the Trophy Winners will be available at the up coming Orange Wine Festival, so be sure to secure tickets to some of the great events planned.
