2022 Angullong Fossil Hill Tempranillo

Fermented in open fermenters followed by maturation in French oak (20% new with the balance comprising 2 and 3 year old puncheons) for 12 months.

True to style, this release carries a cloudy crimson red disposition – just as the great wines of Rioja and Ribera do.

Cured meats and dried cranberries – tapenade and plum jam – loads of moving parts to the bouquet – a lovely, lifted wine.

Sour cherries on the palate – again – classically varietal – high toned red berries and crunchy acidity. Another wine that makes perfect sense in this beautiful continental region....
